| Remember this game for Garwoods poaching. Rogers whipped over a cross that the keeper took easily whilst Garwood (who was hopeless in the air anyway) challenged vaguely and landed in a heap on the goal line. The keeper dropped the ball and went for a stroll around his area, having forgotten about CG who crept up on him and like a thief in the night, whipped the ball away and tucked it home. Hilarious - the keeper was lucky there was no cameras those days otherwise it would have certainly appeared on TV/videos !! |

| Remember this very well. Reckon it was the cheekiest goal I ever saw. I also seem to recall an old woman taking her dog for a walk along the ramshackle terraces and some lad also found an old rusted bike behind a grass embankment. Spotland then made Fratton Park today seem like the Emirates! Happy days indeed. |
